Marine Parade East
Street guide, Gosport
Marine Parade East runs along the seafront at Stokes Bay, providing the main road access to the beach, car parks, and recreational facilities. The road is backed by a strip of grass and the Bay Road parking area, with the shingle beach and Solent views beyond. In summer, this stretch becomes the focus of seaside activity in Gosport, with families, dog walkers, and water sports enthusiasts making use of the beach and the cafes along the parade. The seafront kiosks serve ice cream, hot drinks, and basic refreshments during the season. The road connects to the coastal footpath and provides access to the sailing club and the No. 2 Battery. It is an exposed, open stretch with excellent views but little shelter from south-westerly winds.
